Microbial Delivery for Health & Defense
Research groups in this area are dedicated to enhancing the utility, precision, efficacy, and cost effectiveness of microbe-based machines and materials for the purpose of providing diagnosis and care-on-demand, environmental assessment and stabilization, transient immunities, neutralization of bio-weaponry, and to serve as living foundries. Examples of these microbial devices include medical and environmental biosensors, bioremediation platforms, smart building materials, delivery platforms, immunological and industrial adjuvants, and drug synthesis foundries. Below are faculty actively engaged in this area.
